Derek Miller
does a little bit of everything in the theater world. He's
been an actor, director, playwright, puppeteer, designer and musician.
Born and raised in Illinois, he earned a BFA in Acting with a
Minor in Technical Theater from Millikin University. During
that time, he also founded and ran The Last Chance Theatre, an
experimental black box space in Decatur, IL. He has toured
the country for Cincinnati's
Madcap
Puppets and Twin Cities companies
CLIMB,
Teatro del Pueblo
and
The National
Theatre for Children. Recent productions in the
Twin Cities include

the White Whale for
Civic
Stage,
The Boys in the Band
for
Starting Gate
Productions, and
Koogoomanooki
for
Sandbox Theatre.
Derek is a founding member of Perpetual Motion and the
current Head Writer for the company.
